Chris Harris - The Pagani Huayra

carnecks_weekly_five_huayra
We've been hearing about Pagani's latest work of art, the Huayra, for quite some time now, but only recently have we started to have big car magazines and publications like Evo reviewing the seemingly unforgiving beast. However, we haven't yet seen Drive's Chris Harris review it - until now. Prepare for fifteen minutes (honestly about 10 when you exclude the opening scenes) of seven-hundred-thirty-something horses being partially set free on a dangerous, curvy, lone Italian road. There's not much more to say that the video can't tell you itself through noise combined with the silence of Chris Harris' intense focus as he puts the Pagani Zonda's successor just about completely sideways. Enjoy.

360hp Subaru WRX STi Donuts and Drifts

Here we have a classic. One of those YouTube videos that you end up watching when bored at the office and longing for one yourself - a well-modified 2004 Subaru WRX STi, with a driver (owner?) who's not afraid to showcase the rumbling flat-four's 360 horses a little in a industrial parking lot somewhere. This is - as stated by a YouTube commentator - one of those videos where you can simply watch it so you don't have to do it yourself. Enjoy.

Tiff Needell EVO Track Battle - Aston vs SLS

We all know Tiff Needell as the man with the magic hands when it comes to dramatic powerslides, full-on drifts, and break-neck laptimes - all while having a good laugh himself. Tiff is at it again on one of Evo TV's newest track battles. Putting a luscious Aston Martin DBS Volante up against the grunting brute that is the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Tiff goes first for a few pants-wetting slides on a very wet track, then sets a laptime for each elegant monster. However, if you're not interested in the laptimes, power figures, telemetry... Then just watch it for those flawless, fluid drifts. Enjoy.

Mulholland Drive Fails

Mulholland Drive located in Los Angeles, California is nothing more than a sight-seeing road to the general public, but to driving enthusiasts and car enthusiasts (see 'carnecks') it is one of the best roads around. From random teenagers to Jay Leno himself - people from all backgrounds with various levels of driving ability come to Mulholland Drive and therein lies the problem. Watch as some awesome cars, from tuners to exotics, understeer, understeer, and understeer the legendary Mulholland bend, and further prove the idea that having a good car - a fantastic car in this case - does not make you a good driver. Its almost unbelievable how poorly some of these people handle their cars, doing everything from understeering, to crossing the double-yellows, to spinning out completely, to ramming into the mountain itself. Its unreal. Someone even flips. Enjoy.

Cool Scion FR-S Ad

The Scion FR-S is one incredible car. Essentially a re-badged version of the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ, the Scion FR-S is making the rounds as one of the best bang-for-your-buck affordable rear-wheel-drive sports cars, and for good reason. With a Subaru-sourced flat-four engine, fantastic suspension, and loads of other subtle witchcraft built into it, the Scion FR-S is a serious little lightweight machine, and this ad for it fuels the passion and energy to go out and buy one yourself. Enjoy.
